  • Aiming to build a dynamic human resource in consonance with the dynamic agricultural scenario, ANGRAU offers Bachelor’s degree (UG), Master’s degree (PG) and Doctoral degree (Ph.D) in Agriculture. The University has five Agricultural colleges and two Post graduate colleges located in Andhra Pradesh.
ANGRAU has made several innovations in educational technology to stand as a role model to the other State Agricultural Universities in the country. The Rural Agricultural Work Experience Programme (RAWEP) is one such designed programme to impart first-hand experience of rural farm situations to the undergraduate students. Besides RAWEP the students also undertake Agricultural Experiential Learning Programme (AELP) as per recommendations of ICAR to develop competence through knowledge and skill in all aspects of enterprise management. The University is also instrumental in providing world class learning experience to its students through global classes, symposia and conferences in frontier areas like biodiversity, climate change, genetically modified crops, agri-business, nanotechnology and population studies. To galvanize research in frontier areas, ANGRAU has developed effective linkages and collaborations with several institutes of National and International repute.

  • AGRICULTURAL ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY

    • Value addition to agricultural products by efficient storage, handling and dairy, food processing and post-harvest technologies to make agriculture more remunerative to farmers
    • Utilization of the energy resources efficiently in agriculture by developing technologies using the solar, wind and bio-energies.
    • Design and development of Agricultural structure store and process the agricultural and horticultural products and field irrigation, drainage,    soil and water conservation structures for natural resource management
    • Development of food technologies for enhancing food preservation, processing, storage, packaging, food and nutritional security for the people, trade and business management for food products
  • The College of Home Science at Guntur was established in the year 2013 with an intake of 25 students in B.Sc. (Hons.) Home Science programme. The college is expanding its horizons rapidly in all dimensions from then on. Efforts are being made to establish long term collaborations between ANGRAU and other state Agricultural Universities through MoUs as per ICAR guidelines to facilitate exchange of knowledge and postgraduate research work. From the academic year 2016-2017 onwards, the Faculty is offering PG and Ph.D. programmes in all five major areas of specialization.
The faculty comprises of well qualified and experienced members, actively involved in imparting good standard of education to the students.
