Agriculture

B. Sc. (Hons) Agriculture

1)  A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects namely:
             i) Physical Sciences
             ii) Biological or Natural Sciences
Seats will be filled by merit based on rank in AP EAMCET.
2) 20% supernumerary seats are available for candidates with Diploma in Agriculture.  These seats will be filled by merit based on rank in Agricultural Common Entrance Test (AGRICET) conducted by the University.

Agricultural Engineering & Technology

B. Tech. (Food Technology)

1)  A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with any two of the following subjects namely:
             i) Mathematics / Biological / Natural Sciences
             ii) Physical Sciences
 Seats will be filled by merit based on rank in AP EAMCET.
2) 50% of Seats in B.Tech. (Food Technology) will be filled with students from Bi.P.C. stream and 50% of seats with students from M.P.C.  stream.
M.P.C Stream: Out of 50% seats under M.P.C. Stream, 40% of seats for admission into B.Tech. (Food Technology) reserved under Farmers Quota will be filled by the University.
             Admission into the remaining 60% seats will be taken up by the Convener, AP EAMCET through Web based General Engineering Counseling. The candidates shall exercise Web options during General Engineering Counseling. Those who apply under Farmers Quota can also apply for general quota seats, if they desire.
Bi.P.C. Stream:  The total 50% seats under Bi.P.C. stream will be filled by the University through counseling, out of which 40% are reserved under Farmers’ Quota.

Agricultural Engineering & Technology

B. Tech. (Ag Engineering.)

1) A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with the following subjects namely:
             i) Physical Sciences
            ii) Mathematics
Seats will be filled by merit based on rank in                     AP EAMCET.

 

(a)  40% of seats reserved under Farmers Quota will be filled by the University.
(b)  Admission into the remaining 60% seats will be taken up by the Convener, AP EAMCET through Web based General Engineering Counseling. The candidates shall exercise Web options during General Engineering Counseling. Those who apply under Farmers Quota can also apply for general quota seats, if they desire.
2)15% Supernumerary seats are available for candidates with a 3 year Diploma in Agricultural Engineering.  These seats will be filled by merit based on rank in Agricultural Engineering Common Entrance Test (AGRIENGGCET) conducted by the university.

Community Science

B. Sc. (Hons) Community Science

  • Without EAMCET Rank.
  • A pass in two year Intermediate Examination conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, A.P. or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto by the University or Intermediate Board with any two of the following subjects namely:
    • Physical Sciences
    • Biological or Natural Sciences
    • Mathematics
  • Candidates having a Three year Diploma in Home Science can also  apply for admission into B.Sc.(Hons.) Community Science course under 10% supernumerary seats.
  • 40% of the seats in this course are reserved for candidates coming from rural areas.

PG

  • Candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh are admitted to Master's degree programmes based on their performance in an Entrance Examination conducted separately for Agriculture, Home Science and their previous academic record. Based on their performance in the entrance examination, candidates are allotted to different disciplines within a faculty.
  • Twenty five percent (25%) of the seats in Mastersdegree courses are reserved for candidates belonging to other states. The selection of these candidates is based on the All India Entrance Examination conducted by the Indian Council of Agriculture Research (ICAR), New Delhi, Notification may be issued around March and examination conducted in May - June every year.
  • Post-Graduate courses leading to Masters Degree are offered in 15 disciplines in Agriculture and 4 in Home Science and 4 in Agricultural Engineering. Doctoral Degree programmes are available in
    10 disciplines in Agriculture, 2 disciplines in Home Science and 3 in Agricultural Engineering.
    In addition, inter-faculty Master degree programmes are being offered in MBA(Agribusiness Management), Consequent to the establishment of Sri Venkateswara Veterinary University at Tirupati in 2005 the teaching, research and extension programmes pertaining to Veterinary Science, Dairying and Fishery Science have been transferred to the new University.
